First (Real) Earthquake

I felt my first earthquake this morning at 5:23am. I say felt, because technically I’ve been in two earthquakes before this, but I just didn’t feel them at all. One was because I was in a car, and the other was too weak for me to have known. But this was the first one I felt. I could here things shaking, including my bed. It was almost like when someone goes to wake you up and they shake your body. Lying down in bed, half-awake, it felt a bit like that. I remember watching the ceiling, wondering casually if a piece of the ceiling would fall. It was less than a minute long. Supposedly in Japanese terms it was a 3rd degree earthquake, but someone told me that’s a 5.0 in American terms. Anyway, there it is, my first real earthquake.
