Study Abroad Status Update

I’m gonna take a post to step outside of my writer self and simply give an update for those who want to know how things are going with my new application to study abroad in Japan for the 2012 year.

I’ve finished the phase of the application where I apply to my home university’s study abroad department, and now I’m applying to university which will be hosting me over in Japan, which, again, will be Sophia University. That application will be due in roughly a week, and from there, I could be waiting as long as January before I hear the official acceptance letter. In the meantime, I have applied to two scholarships, as well, which would help me immensely with the financial side of things. One is the Bridging scholarship, and the other is the Freeman scholarship. I’ll find out the results of those in mid November and mid-December, respectively.

It is now about five months until the time when I would leave for Japan. About 150 days. And probably around 40ish until the end of the semester : P
