Far away with little to say

A little over a month has gone by. I finished one summer class and am about to pick up another. One month closer to the possibility of going to Japan. Besides that, I feel like I’m far away with little to say.

The anniversary for my Japan trip blew by me like it has in years past; maybe I’m just always busy in June, for some reason. But I realized it at the end, when, I had come home for the night Sunday, June 26th, standing in front of our house, when it hit me. It was exactly 4 years ago when I came home. Now it’s 4 years and 3 days. I’m far away with little to say.

And life goes on. Summer and school and friends and me. There just isn’t much Japan in northern Virginia to write about for a blog devoted to experience in Japan. I just keep studying every night, practicing Japanese, preparing, training, and waiting. Because someday (someday other than today), I’ll be anything but far away with little to say.
